11 months and the past month

Everytime I turn around- Parker is another month older!  What in the world!!??  So here is another update on the P man.

New words- baba (bottle and/or bye bye) and dada (Dad of course)

Parker is a daddy's boy, just like Ella was a daddy's girl.  I love that they love their daddy.  I have just had to accept the fact that I am not their favorite.

Learned how to climb the stairs.  Learning to stand alone.  Just got over being sick for a week.  He had a fever, cough, runny nose, diarrea, hives....and no sleep.

Loves his sippy cup and has been trying real milk.

10 months

Baby Parker is 10 months old!!  I love this age.  He is sooooooo much fun.  He loves to play.  You can chase him around and he will crawl away super fast and scream.  Then he will turn around and chase you.  When he gets to you he will crawl all over and grab whatever he can.  He dances to any music he hears- he learned that from sister.  He has learned to clasp his hands together for prayer and will babble through the prayer as if he is the one praying.  He just got his second tooth.
I can see that Parker is a "do-er"  He cannot stand on his own, yet he tries to walk.  He will hold on to furniture, turn around, and just try to take off and then fall on his face.  But he doesnt care.  When he figures out this standing thing- he will be off.  He sleeps good, eats everything he is fed, smiles constantly, is becoming really shy and is a little ham that will do anything to get you to laugh.
I love spending all day with him!

Grandma Hale

5 months ago we said good-bye to my dear Grandpa Hale.  I had not lost a grandparent in a long time and it was tough to see him go.  This week my Grandma followed him back home.  She was in complete kidney failure and lasted about 6 weeks longer than the Drs thought.  Because our family knew what was happening and that she was dying, we were able to say good bye to her.  The last time I saw her, she was not well.  She did not even know I was there.  But I stood over her and watched her.  I kissed her.  I knew that would be the last time.  My mom sat by her side and held her hand as she took her last breath.  I am so happy that she was not alone when she passed.  She wanted to go home.  Her own mother passed 60 years ago and she wanted to see her after such a long seperation.  Her husband of 69 years was waiting for her as well.

Her grandkids shared some memories at her funeral.  This was mine...

"One of my most cherished memories of Grandma Hale was from 11 years ago.  It was one of the happiest days of my life; my wedding day.  I arrived at the temple a little early and had time to sit peacefully in the bridal room.  I was the only wedding that morning so it was quiet and not many people were around.  I remember sitting in my wedding dress and temple clothes with 2 very special people;  my mom and my grandma.  I remember feeling so happy that I had them both by my side on this special day.  That made a lasting impression on me.  My grandma had lived her life in such a way that allowed her to be sealed in the temple.  She then passed on her testimony to my mother, who also made the choice to be sealed in the temple.   The life my mom led directed me on the right path for me to start my own eternal family.  I will always remember my grandma Hale there by my side as I started that family and will be forever grateful for the righteous life she lived."
Both my grandparents had a rock solid testimony of the Gospel.  That is why I have the gospel in my life today.  And I could ask for nothing greater.  I thank them both for that blessing.  I feel so much peace that they are together, they are happy and that they will be standing there waiting when the rest of us go home.  I love you both.
