Its been a couple of weeks, and Ella had a technique clinic this week at the studio. When I went in with her to drop her off, Lisa, the studio director, pulled me aside and said she would like to move Ella up to the Jr Elite team. She said there is just one thing she needs to work on (her a la secondes) and Lisa wants to observe her and spend some time with her the last day of clinic. So the next couple days, our kitchen turned into a makeshift dance studio, bar and everything (railing) Ella practiced and practiced and cried and practiced some more. She had her Aunt Natalie come over, who is a former dancer. Ella got better and better. She then had a little one on one time with Lisa after the last day of clinic.
Lisa said Ella is ready for this higher team and its official, she is now a member of the Jr Elite company.
Ella is thrilled. Heck, I am thrilled. Her dad and grandparents are thrilled. I thought she was going to be pushed before....this will be unbelievable.
