Moms birthday

I love my birthday because I really do feel special.  All the friends and family that give a lot of attention :)

Dustin took the day off which is super nice.  We got Ella out of school for lunch with the 4 of us. 

I got a yummy lemon cake which is my favorite, topped with 2 candles.  Parker thought I was 1 year old, so of course on my birthday he said I was now 2.

Then a few days later on Saturday we spent the evening at Riverdale, playing and relaxing!


Dustin hid my present and sent me on a scavenger hunt around the house.  The 3 of them followed me around as I tried to figure out the clues.  Ella had to help me with some.  It made me feel like a kid, which is a good thing when you turn another year older.  He was very thoughtful about it and had me stumped a few times.  It was fun and I want to remember these clues he gave me:

FFL

The FFL....Alley Family Food League.  When uncle Jeff moved back up to Cache Valley he created the FFL.  The Alley's get together every other month for a cook off, judges and everything.  The first theme was "Game Day" and we all made football day foods then watched the Aggies vs Utah game.  (no pictures)

The second theme was "Asian"  My dad had a friend from work who is from Taiwan come with his family to be the judges.  The food was all excellent.  But what I love the most is that these food nights gets my whole family together, much more often than we used to.  We have a lot of fun.

During the judging the kids need something to do, so they decorated cookies.  Parker also made friends with the little boy that came because he had an ipad.

 

 

 

 I mean, look at this food.  This was only half of it. The Alley's love Asian food.  So this was a really yummy dinner.

Happy 4th Birthday Parker!

Parker is 4!  This is crazy.  All he wanted for his birthday was an orange race car with treats inside.  And we found one thank goodness (just added the candy)

Grandma Alley came over with a lot of presents for him.  Grandpa was out of town.  Here she is building legos with him.

Our next door neighbor, Henry, is Parkers best friend.  They were born on the very same day!

Parker has been asking to go to the Dinosaur park.  So how could we not take him for his birthday.
This part of the museum was probably why Parker keeps asking to go.  He didn't want to leave this part and dad had to take him back to this spot after leaving to look at other things.  He loves that they move and make noise.

 

 

Hyrum loves dinosaurs as well, so he came with us.  We had Wendys for a birthday dinner.

Ella got her first of 5 new costumes.  This is contemporary and its beautiful

 

Parker LOVES the abc's.  I knew he could write A-F but I had no idea he could do all 26 letters. Surprise for me! 

I love fall cleaning.  I feel like I need to get ready to hunker down for the long winter.  Parker is a pal and helps me out.

Aggies

Parker has loved football lately.  He likes to set and watch it on TV with dad.  The 4 of us and Jeremy and Grandpa Benson went to a late night - aka. cold night -football game.
USU vs Wyoming and the Aggies kicked some bum.  It was fun to have a family date night doing something a little different.  It was chilly, but not as bad as the temperature sounded.

Parker started out super hyper.  Then half way through he got a little grumpy and tired and almost fell asleep. But then he got his second wind and was super hyper the rest of the night until he crashed in the car.

 

 

 

Ella was on one all night long.  She got up and danced to all the music and was just as hyper as Parker. She also learned how to photo bomb strangers.  With the below face.  I wanted to see what the strangers would be seeing, so we tried it our with ourselves.
