Las VEGAS

Las Vegas 2.0

Jr Premier headed to Las Vegas in July for NaTiOnALs!  This is the first time in history that Dance Illusion has taken teams to Nationals and Ella got to be a part of it.  Me, Ella and Grandma Alley made a week of it.  The best part- we didn't have to drive this time!

This was such an amazing trip.  Yes, there was a TON of dancing.  Ella had classes all day everyday.  She got to work with the best dancers in the world.  She got to perform "Blowing in the wind" one final time, and "Hip hop waltz" two more times.  Her team was broken hearted over being done. She got to fly with her best friend Mia and spend a whole week with all her dance friends.

I loved watching Ella, Mia and Ava play "the floor is lava" as we walked through the casinos.  I loved watching Ella teach my mom how to ballroom dance.  I loved that our family back home spent one evening together watching Ella perform on TV.  I loved spending a week with my 2 girls.

My mom and I got pedicures which was the best thing ever.  I felt relaxed and unstressed for the first time, pretty much as long as I can remember.   We stayed at the Red Rock hotel which was beyond fancy.  The pool, yep, it was amazing.  On our time away from dance we went to the strip, went shopping, played games, swam, ate way too much food and watched fireworks from the pool on the 4th of July.

These kids are getting old....fast!
Ella started 7th grade.  Another new school at North Cache.  It's way out there and takes about 35 minutes to get home on the bus.

Parker is in Kindergarten and he loves it.  The other day he took a math test and said "it was really fun"

Back to school shopping!!

Our study room project is finally complete.  It only took 18 months.  I love it.

Solar Eclipse of 2017.  It brought out the crazy.

The holy war at the Alleys.  That is dangerous territory when you cheer for BYU.  The only blue Ella could find at Grandmas was old dance dress ups.

Parker begged to vacuumn.  Um, ok.

When dad travels, we get pizza and breadsticks downstairs with a movie.  Then the kids have a sleepover.

Ella is our neighborhood pet sitter.  She loved watching Radfords dog for a whole week.

We finally said goodbye to little Whitey.  This is the car that Dustin picked me up in on our first date.  It was old but kept going and going and going.  But it was time to move on.

Ahhhhh....

 Sick and sleepy

Parker loves his husky and hedge hog.  This is how they fell out of his bed in the morning. After school he saw this, ran into me the other day and said "mom, they are posing for a picture."  He grabbed my phone to get a picture of his friends.
